Work work work...

So it's been a few days. Things are slowly settling in. Very slowly. Eventually we'll get a routine I suppose, but right now not so much.

We've done a little bit of training...a bit of which was convoy training. Our commo went down during it...so we get to redo that at some point. All of us very excited about that fact. In the meantime we're starting to filter into the checkpoint and start filling holes there.

A couple days ago (I guess the 4th...it all runs together a bit) we had what apparently is a normal occurrence at our checkpoint: We found a body in the river. Nicely bloated. Apparently that happens once a week or so...so keep an eye out for those lovely updates.

Otherwise, we're just waiting to take over full time and get into more of a rhythm. Pictures should be updated now, though. Just a few shots (slow internet here ;)).

Bobby...the girls loved the pictures of their hubby's...so thank you for that! How about a "special email" just for me? And let me know when you get my packages so we can figure out how long it took!
Love you! Krisy

mmmm...bloated bodies. Nothing like a little collateral damage to keep the appetite suppressed! Hey, speaking of weight loss, have you managed to figure out how to shed any of the weight you itemized for us?
Back to bloated corpses...have you heard that UGA has decided to go belly-up this season? In addition to losing homecoming to Vandy, we thought it'd be a good idea to further embar-asss ourselves by allowing UK to send us home with our 4th loss for the season....I'm sure that AU will make us look even sillier this weekend.
And while we're examining silly...Saddam is actually appealing the decision to hang his sorry ass. Wow, talk about optomisitic...

Be Safe and come home soon, Jay

Give us an idea of the living conditions and your access to stuff when you write next so that we know what to send...in addition to the food. I would assume you have better conditions than in the tent at Camp Middle of Nowhere from your last deployment. - Tim

So have you heard about the thumb yet? Yeah, thats right, 5 in a row. Its easier on me, after all I did spend several years in Auburn, but some of the family is taking it harder than others (Heather is heart broken).

Anyway, do you guys need anything? Im sure the family is taking care of you but we would love to send some things for you and your guys.

Take care and be safe.

To everyone else, my email address is jason.wallace@suntrust.com. Send me an email if you get chance.

Happy Thanksgiving, Bobby! I just want you to know that I am so thankful for you and for all of you over there. Please keep up the good work and know that you are loved and appreciated, and you will be remembered and prayed for tomorrow at many, many tables across the country. We wish you were here.
